Ragtime Annie - On the Mandolin
OK. I don't usually play the Mandolin for these videos and for good reason. I'm not very good at it. But I was playing Ragtime Annie and don't know it at all on the banjo, so I figured I had nothing to lose. Here's Ragtime Annie.
Ok, Kaufmann has D, C capped to 2. There is definitely a c part (3rd part) that everyone seems to agree is rarely played. I thought I heard something different from A and B. I'll listen again.
Nice. You got all 3 parts. I've only got 2.
ReplyDeleteWhat key?
I'll try to remember the guitar version.
Key of D. (1,4,5). As far as I know it only has a A part and B part. I played A B A B.
DeleteI'll start working the guitar version too. My book shows the key of D, with two parts. I don't have a banjo tab for this

ReplyDeleteCapoed not capped.
ReplyDeleteOk, a part and b part, just as you said.
ReplyDeleteDan Sankey said he has a banjo tab for it. Haven't seen it yet, but will pass it along when I get it.
ReplyDeleteKaufmann has a Third part in his "advanced" version. Just two in the others. Easy to ignore.
